1. Samaritans – Available 24/7, they offer confidential support for anyone in distress. People can call them at 116 123 for free from any phone.
2. Mind – Provides advice and support to empower anyone experiencing a mental health problem. They also have a network of local Minds providing services in communities across England and Wales.
3. SANE – Offers support, care, and information to those affected by mental illness, including a national, out-of-hours helpline (SANEline) which can be reached at 0300 304 7000 from 4:30pm to 10:30pm daily.

5. CALM (Campaign Against Living Miserably) – Targets men in the UK who are down or have hit a wall for any reason, through their helpline (0800 58 58 58) and webchat service.
6. Shout – A 24/7 text service, which can be reached by texting “SHOUT” to 85258. It is free on all major mobile networks and for anyone in crisis anytime, anywhere.
7. Rethink Mental Illness – Provides support and information to people affected by mental illness and campaigns for policy change. They offer practical help through their advice line which can be contacted at 0300 5000 927.
8. The Mix – Offers support to under 25s, including a free, confidential helpline and online service that aims to find young people the best help, whatever the problem. You can call them at 0808 808 4994.
9. YoungMinds – Provides a crisis messenger service for young people across the UK experiencing a mental health crisis. The service is available by texting YM to 85258.
